While I enjoy reading books, I also appreciate them as physical objects and I collect rare or first editions from time to time. I even dared to write my own book in 2013 and published it. A 10th Anniversary Hardcover Edition is up. There's a second book in the pipeline, so if gaming and reading are your things, stay tuned. The book I wrote and published in 2013, "Administra tu Pasión", is a concise essay advocating a perspective that, at that time, was scarcely documented. It appeals to two distinct audiences: gamers and non-gamers alike. If you're a gamer, you're well acquainted with the challenging and engaging nature of these experiences and the sense of enhanced intellect and commitment they inspire. If you're not a gamer yet, the book outlines how playing them can bolster and improve your career and work, particularly if you reside in what's commonly referred to as an "emerging market" - a nation or region outpacing the growth of developed markets like the US or Western Europe.
Ten years after publishing my book in May 2023, I'm surprised and happy to see it still sells and receives good Twitter feedback. I think my main idea - that playing games can improve work and career - is still pretty spot on. That's why I launched a hardcover edition.
The gamer's mindset - their unique approach to problems, potential solutions, teamwork, and problem-solving strategies - can empower Latin America to enter 2050 with a robust population unafraid of leveraging games to improve their work and lives.
